  • Cranberry Christian Homeschoolers -- contact Tami Bruni: brucew(at)thesafety(dot)net. Monthly evening parent meeting. Field trips, PE activities, writing club, and more.
 
  • East End Educators -- contact Lynne Lightfoot (Godfollowers5@verizon.net). Multicultural, intercity Christian co-op offering weekly enrichment classes, field trips, and support group. All meeting held at Covenant Fellowship Reformed Presbyterian Church in Wilkinsburg.  

 

  • FISH (Family Instructors of the South Hills) -- contact Nancy Sikes: nancy(at)sikes(dot)net. We provide information, inspiration, and support for Christian home school families in the South Hills. Monthly meetings, field trips, co-op, newsletters and more.

 

  • H.I.S. Home Instructors of Southwestern PA -- contact Kim Eckles: rkean316(at)aol(dot)com. Newsletter, Book-It, field trips, literature class. Meets every other month.

 

  • North Hills Christian Homeschoolers (North Hills of Pittsburgh) -- contact Rachel Seely at info@nhchweb.org. The North Hills Christian Homeschoolers is an organization of Christians in the North Hills area of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, who are personally committed to the home education of their children.   • North Side/North Boroughs Christian Homeschoolers -- contact Karen: jandkvevers(at)yahoo(dot)com. We are an informal interdenominational Christian support group for homeschool families offering a bi-monthly writers´ club,and other specials such as Art Day, Science or Social Studies Project Days.

 

  • PALS (Allegheny) -- Also find them on Facebook.  PALS (People Always Learning Something) is an unaffiliated group of homeschoolers from Pittsburgh and surrounding areas whose members are tolerant of all styles of homeschooling, home education and learning at home. PALS is an open and inclusive homeschooling group which does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, sexual orientation, homeschooling style or one´s personal lifestyle choices. PALS is a group that accepts all who homeschool or have a positive interest in homeschooling and everyone is encouraged to participate in and/or plan activities.

 

  • Pittsburgh East Suburban Homeschoolers´ Association (Allegheny/Westmoreland counties.) Monthly meetings for the entire family; information and support for adults, educational programs and play time for children, social activities for teens.  Weekly high school English class and biweekly writer's club for younger students.  We also maintain a yahoo group featuring information about educational opportunities and resources throughout the Pittsburgh area.   •  Pittsburgh Waldorf Homeschool Network (Pittsburgh) -- contact Candelaria Bradbury: familiabradbury@gmail.com. Network of area waldof homeschool families.

 

  • South Pitt Catholic Homeschoolers (Bethel Park, Mt. Lebanon, McDonald, Hickory, Robinson, Cecil, Bridgeville, Burgettstown, Carnegie, South Point, Peters Tnshp., McMurray, Imperial, to Washington County) -- contact Chris Geddie: southpittcatholichomeschoolers(at)yahoo(dot)com). We are a Roman Catholic support group for homeschooling families.

 

  • St. Boniface Homeschoolers -- contact Trish Hamel (hamelposse@aol.com). We are a group of Catholic Homeschoolers, and we meet on a monthly basis for celebrating various Feast Days. We also have Catholic Enrichment Classes including two levels of Latin, science, writing, literature - all using Catholic materials. We also have many activities geared toward young children.

 

  • Special Needs Homeschoolers of Western PA (Western PA region) -- contact Jane Maruca: j.maruca(at)comcast(dot)net or Brenda Krayzel: sevenpatriots(at)yahoo(dot)com or Diane Goliwas: turbo(at)city-net(dot)com. This group is an organization of parents who are committed to the home education of their special needs child. Our group is open to any parent who is currently homeschooling or cyber-schooling their child with special needs, or any caregiver investigating the home school option for their child. The group will strive to encourage and support one another in educating our special needs children. We will serve as an informational exchange and resource for information relevant to special needs and homeschooling.

 

  • Word and Worship Writer´s Club -- contact Debbie Gauvain (debg05@verizon.net) or Meredith Parente (meredith.parente@rescuepittsburgh.org). Students meet twice monthly to present original writings then enjoy gym time; Science, Art and History presentations. Also participate in Book It and field trips.

 

  • FINS (Family Instructors of the North Suburbs) -- contact Barb Beideman: barbbeideman(at)yahoo)dot)com - We are a Christ-centered group of home educators who wish to support and encourage one another. We are an inclusive group and invite all to participate. We share events, activities, and field trips as well as questions and other helpful information. The FINS website
